On Tuesday, May 12, the Rotary Club of Bedford welcomed ten prospective members to an open house evening at the Library Meeting Room — and the enthusiasm in the room made it clear that the spirit of service is alive and well in our community.
We had planned a structured program for the evening, but the energy of the crowd had other ideas. Guests naturally gravitated through our five project showcase stations, spending time with Rotarians learning about our local work through Bedford Roots, our international reach through Global projects and Hope for the Hungry, our Youth programs including RYLA and scholarships, and the Bedford Rotary Foundation. Rather than formal presentations, the evening became a series of rich, genuine conversations between guests and members — exactly the kind of connection that Rotary is built on.

By rotating through the stations, every guest got to meet a wide cross-section of our club and hear firsthand about the breadth of what Bedford Rotary does, from community dinners and pollinator gardens right here at home to clean water initiatives and motorcycle ambulances across the globe. We're grateful to the members who staffed the stations and to everyone who took the time to join us. If the energy of that evening is any indication, Bedford Rotary's future is in excellent hands.
