The Rotary Club of Bedford is pleased to share a new Visual Social Story designed to help children and families prepare for this year’s Winter Holiday Breakfast. We know that busy events, new environments, and lots of activity can sometimes feel overwhelming for young visitors. This resource provides a simple, supportive preview of what to expect.
The social story includes visual panels covering:
- Arriving at the event and navigating a busy space
- Photos with Santa
- A winter-themed photo booth
- Animals from the Bedford Science Center
- Craft tables
- Musical performances
- Options for taking breaks and finding quieter spaces
Our goal is to make the Winter Holiday Breakfast welcoming and accessible for all families. The visual social story is especially helpful for young children, neurodivergent individuals, and anyone who benefits from seeing and understanding what an event will be like in advance.
