Fire & Life Safety Educator Dana Park conducts home safety visits, where he often finds outdated alarms that no longer detect smoke or carbon monoxide effectively. Many seniors live in older homes and may struggle to afford new alarms. Thanks to this program, Dana installs 1-3 new alarms per visit and replaces batteries to keep seniors safe—without them having to climb ladders.
With around 20 home visits per year, this initiative makes a real difference in preventing emergencies and saving lives.
Safety starts at home. If you or a loved one needs a new smoke/CO alarm, contact the Bedford Fire Department today! To schedule a visit please contact the Fire Department business line (781) 275-7262 ext. 4202.
