The Hope for the Hungry meal-packing event is returning on March 21, 2026, and this year we’re excited to put a special focus on something close to our hearts: engaging young people in hands-on service. We're also excited to have a special partner in St Paul's Episcopal Church for this event!
This year’s event is intentionally designed to be youth-focused, welcoming students, Girl Scouts and Scouts, Interactors, youth groups, and families with children. Our goal is to give young packers the opportunity not only to help package thousands of meals, but also to truly understand the impact they can have in addressing food insecurity in our community.
Why Sponsorship Comes First
To create a meaningful and well-organized experience for our young volunteers, we are structuring the event so that each packing table is supported by a sponsor. Sponsorship ensures that the cost of food ingredients and packing supplies is fully covered before we open registration for packers.
Because of this, packer sign-ups are not open yet. Our current focus is on securing sponsors so we can confidently open registration and welcome youth groups once everything is in place.

Sponsorship Opportunities
All sponsorship funds go directly toward the materials needed to package meals that will support families facing food insecurity. Sponsorship options include:
$500 to sponsor a full table, supporting up to 10 youth packers
$250 to split a table with another business, family, or group
$150 to purchase a square on the packing sheet
Sponsorship is a wonderful way for individuals, families, troops, businesses, and community organizations to support youth service—even if they aren’t packing meals themselves.
What’s Next?
Once our sponsorship goals are met, we’ll open packer registration and begin welcoming youth groups and volunteers to sign up. Those who have already expressed interest will be among the first to hear when registration opens.
