On the evening of Tuesday, May 12, the Rotary Club of Bedford is doing something it hasn't done in a while — throwing open the doors and inviting the whole community in. Whether you've always been curious about Rotary, know a neighbor who should be here, or are a member with someone in mind, this Open House is your opportunity.

In just one hour, guests will get a real look at who we are, what we've built, and why a room full of busy Bedford residents gives their Tuesday evenings to this club. Light refreshments will be provided. There's no cost, no commitment, and no sales pitch — just honest conversation and a chance to see the work up close.

For Current Rotarians
This is the most important thing you can do before May 12.
No flyer, social post, or email will ever be as effective as a personal invitation from someone the recipient trusts. Think about the people in your life who are community-minded, professionally active, and looking for something meaningful to be part of. Then pick up the phone.

Here's a simple ask you can make today:

"I'd love for you to come see what our club does — it's just one hour and there's no obligation."
Follow up your call with a text containing the event details or a link to this page
Offer to meet them at the door — knowing a familiar face will be there makes all the difference
Think retirees, business owners, new residents, and anyone between commitments — they're often the best candidates
Our goal is to bring 20–30 guests through the door on May 12. If every member makes two personal invitations, we'll get there. Please come early at 5:45 PM to help welcome guests as they arrive.

If You're New to Rotary
You may have heard the name Rotary without knowing much about what it actually involves. Here's the short version: Rotary International is a global network of 1.4 million members in over 200 countries, united by a commitment to service. Every local club is independent — which means the Rotary Club of Bedford gets to decide where to put its energy, its time, and its money.

Who joins: People at every stage of life, business owners, active retirees, and people who simply want to make a difference. Bedford Rotarians come from every background.

The honest truth: You'll get back more than you put in.

If you've ever thought "I'd like to do more for my community but I'm not sure where to start," come to the Open House. That's exactly what it's for.
