Bedford Police Department, in conjunction with the Bedford Rotary Club, will host a bicycle helmet safety event. Residents are encouraged to stop by the Bedford Police Department’s parking lot, 2 Mudge Way, on Saturday, September 19th 10 a.m. to noon. Bedford Rotary volunteers will give out free, fitted helmets for child cyclists.
The free helmets, made possible through sponsorship by the Bedford Rotary Foundation are all U.S. safety certified for Bike CPSC, and fit children ages 8-14. We will have a limited supply available for those unable to attend on Saturday - please email bedford.rotary@gmail.com to express interest.
While the Rotary club usually fits the helmets to the children's heads, due to Covid restriction this is not possible. Instead recipients can watch the following videos to learn how to best fit them:
