Club Assembly to enable club members to sign up for service projects
Rotary International and the Rotary Club of Bedford are community service organizations. Having and attending a club meeting to listen to a speaker IS NOT community service. DOING Something meaningful for the Bedford Community or building a partnership with other Rotary Clubs locally and internationally help address community needs IS SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY. My nearly 20 years as grant chair for the District resulted in $6,701,844 going to 58 other countries and local projects by 53 clubs from our district through at least 219 different meaningful projects. All projects involved both Rotarians and non-Rotarians, and all projects were most appreciated. You know, one of the very first Rotary Projects I participated in was where the Club purchased all the wire necessary to get the Davis Elementary School up and running on the Internet. That was back in 1993 and YFy I do not think was even invented. That is why Rotary and OUR CLUB is such a powerful group of service minded people. Looking for your input at the July 11 meeting.
