In honor of Martin Luther King and as part of Bedford Embraces Diversity’s (BED) Annual MLK Community Day, both the Bedford Rotary Club and BED will be working together to offer free services to the Council on Aging. Examples of services covered will include; home repairs, changing of light bulbs, moving of light objects around the house, running errands. There will be a sign-up sheet managed by COA staff made available to COA members early January. The requests will then be sent to BED and the Rotary Club whose organizations will match up Bedford volunteers with the requests. The Rotary will manage recruitment of the volunteers based on skills needed to fulfill the COA requests while BED will oversee the program before and on MLK Day.

Sign up if you are available to help. We will need drivers to take Interact students to do some of the services.
