Middlesex Community College (MCC) addresses student housing and food insecurity through its Wellness Resource Center offering two free food pantries (Bedford and Lowell campuses) with fresh, frozen, and non-perishable items. These services assist the 35–41% of students self- reporting food insecurity, providing crucial support to help students focus on academics.

Being able to meet a student’s basic needs such as food and housing often means the difference in a student’s ability to focus on their education, graduate and reach their goals. Jonathan Crockett is MCC’s Coordinator of Essential Needs and Community Resource, seeking to provide help to all of the college’s students who need it.

Middlesex Community College is now looking to help the graduating students with work/interviewing attire. We’re looking for donations of clean men’s and women’s suits/nice clothes suitable for professional dress, along with professional shoes, belts, and ties. I’m sure we all have nice professional clothing we haven’t worn in a bit!

This is a fabulous opportunity to help MCC’s students, giving them the confidence they need to succeed in their next chapter. Donations will be accepted at the MCC Campus Center until April 15th . Middlesex Community College is located at 591 Springs Rd here in Bedford. The MCC Campus Center is located towards the back of its campus. An alternative drop-off location is Diana Jarvis' home at 22 Wildwood Drive.

The Clothing event will be the first or second week of May (will advise once finalized!) They may also need help setting up, and we’ll reach out if they’d like our help! Jonathan Crockett said, “It’s the small acts of community service, collaboration, shared resources, and social engagement that make a big difference overall.”
